Laura Bellars who swims in Class S9 for Disability swimming was at the Disability Sport England Junior Nationals on Saturday 5th & Sunday 6th March.
Laura "chalked" up the following impressive list of results: -
50m Butterfly 48.86 3rd PB
100m Freestyle 1:32.28 4th
100m I.M. 3rd PB
50m Backstroke 50.18 PB
50m Freestyle 42.35 5th
She also swam the first leg of a winning relay team, 50m Freestyle in 40.06 which (subject to confirmation) will also be ratified as a PB. - Congratulations to Laura
It appears that not only are we swimming well but we are breaking Club Records: -
County Long Distance - Tom Lane's 1500m Freestyle was a new club record for the boys 11 year age group. While at the Lincs Junior League - Alice Horton's 50m Fly was a 12 year girl's record.
Counties 05/03/05 - Jessica Whyte claimed new 9 year records for 200m I.M. 50m Backstroke, 200m Breaststroke
Sullivan Stoner also took 9 year records in 50m Backstroke & 200m Breaststroke. Jade Marsters took the girls 13 year 50m Backstroke record and Hayley Brooker took the girls 16 year 200m Breaststroke record.
Well done to all the above swimmers on their achievements.
