Most of you will know Laura Bellars who competes in the S9 disability category. She recently attended the Welsh Disability Nationals in Swansea in an attempt to improve her times and hopefully bring some awards back to South Lincs.
Laura's results were:-
10th place 50 Free 43.97
1st place 400 Free 6.54.77
2nd place 200 Free 3.21.83 (long course pb)
5th place 200 IM 3.54.13 (long course pb)
10th place 100 Free 1.33.08
Despite two top 3 placings Laura was disappointed with her times and is intending to up her training schedule in an effort to gain a place on one of the English performance schemes.
This is definitely what Laura needs to take her swimming to the next level and the Club will try and support her in her efforts.
Laura who attends college in Stamford has recently obtained a "poolside pass" from Leisure Connection which will enable her access to all pools under their management and Laura intends to train in Stamford after college as well as the increased training with South Lincs.
