On Sunday 03rd July we took a squad of 20 swimmers to this local meet, once again this was a chance to swim as a squad and with next years county times now available this was an early chance to qualify for some of the sprint events.
As always at an Open Meet all of the swimmers are hoping to swim personal best times, although as the squad have just stepped up their training profile this was likely to be quite a challenge.
Tori Maxey was one swimmer certainly up to the challenge as she PB'd in all six of her events, which is an excellent achievement. We only had two overall victories on the day both of these going to Hayley Brooker. She won the girls 50 Freestyle and then we had to wait for the last event of the day, the Girls 100 Freestyle for Hayley to claim her second victory.
