Whilst all of our training sessions are structured and disciplined, there is also an opportunity to make new friends, learn new skills and get some really great low impact exercise.
To join the club you will need to arrange for an assessment of swimming ability. This usually takes place on Sundays at 5pm in the diving pit or in the main pool depending on your ability. The assessment will be on stroke and technique, carried out by an ASA coach.
The assessment will determine which of the training squads is appropriate for you. The amount of time you have to wait to join that squad will depend on the availability of places.
To be accepted as a new member you must also be prepared to meet the criteria required for the squad in which you are offered a place and must agree to abide by all club rules. You must also make the commitment to be available when selected to represent SLCSC at club galas.
If you are interested in joining, please contact Sarah Handley (Head Coach) who will arrange for you to come for a trial.
Once you have been accepted for the Club, you will be required to complete a Membership Application Form and an ASA Registration Form. These will be given to you after the assessment and need to be returned to Linda Hannam, the Membership Secretary, as soon as possible.
